Operational diagnosis

What:

An operational diagnosis analyses:

  • External constraints (market, competition, legislation, unions, ...) that impede company growth.
  • Organisation's capacity to perform a Lean transformation
  • Organisation's improvement potential

It also includes a two-year improvement plan to implement for a successful Lean transformation

Objectives:

  • Estimate improvement potential and define organisation objectives.
  • Edit an improvement plan aligned with Top Management objectives and priorities.

Added Value:

Design a relevant and consistent improvement approach.

How:

The diagnosis lasts 1 to 3 weeks. It is performed on-site, with your teams, from operator to top management. It involves interviews, data collection, analysis and workplace observations (shopfloor and offices).

We analyse:

  • External business constraints (market, competition, legislation, unions, ...) that impede organisation growth.
  • The organisation's capacity to change and the availability of the necessary pre-requisites to begin a Lean transformation.
  • Improvement potential valued on Safety, Quality/Service, Costs, Delivery and also Turnover. The diagnosis gives two-year objectives and defines an improvement plan to reach those targets.

Useful tools:

  • Workplace observation
  • VSM
  • Spaghetti diagram
  • Potentials analysis
  • KPI (Key Performance Indicators) / Data collection
  • Interviews
